Ozzy Osbourne has put his annual Ozzfest on hold for 2009, opting instead to spend more time working on his 10th studio album. Like Lalapalooza, 2008 saw Ozzfest reduced to a one-day event rather than the traveling festival it has been known for in previous years.
In other news the “Prince of Darkness” and family have a new Osbournes variety show Osbournes: Reloaded due out on Fox soon, which may have complicated matters in terms of planning a festival. This year marks the first time since 1996 that there will be no Ozzfest, but a statement said Ozzy hopes to bring the fest back in 2010. The new Ozzy album is due to be released by Thanksgiving 2009.
