Ticketmaster You Suck!

It looks like I am not the only one who is fed up with Ticketmaster’s unfair business practices.

Last month I eagerly awaited the on sale date for tickets to “The Dead” reunion. Ticketmaster advertised on television & local radio that tickets would go on sale at 10:00am Saturday January 23rd. I went online at exactly 10:00am that morning; got immediately into the site; somehow managed to quickly get through Ticketmasters horrible captcha implementation; then was surprised to see a message that no tickets were available. I immediately tried again several times with the same results.

I find it hard to believe that Ticketmaster sold over 16,000 tickets in less than 1 second. The thing that makes me hate those Ticketbastards even more is that they have the balls to provide a link to their TicketsNow (scalping) site which offers tickets starting at $400. So there are no face value tickets left, but Ticketmaster’s secondary site has plenty of tickets available for $400-$1000. Something is so wrong with that.

This week Bruce Springsteen spoke out against Ticketmaster  following Ticketmaster’s problem-laden sale of his Working on a Dream tour tickets. Countless fans reported technical malfunctions during the onsale, while others complained that Ticketmaster forwarded them to the company’s secondary ticket site, TicketsNow, even though seats were still available through Ticketmaster. The New Jersey Attorney General has also announced an investigation into the sale.

If you have had a bad experience with Ticketmaster please do something. Write your attorney general and lets put an end to this once and for all.
